Lara Oyedele, the current Vice President of the Chartered Institute of Housing, is a social entrepreneur, property developer and campaigner for affordable housing. She is passionate about eliminating homelessness and promoting diversity in leadership.
Originally trained as a journalist, she has over 30 years’ experience working in housing associations, local authorities, private sector housing management companies and homelessness charities.
Lara is has served on the Board of Southern Housing Group as well as the housing regulator’s equality advisory board. She is a Non- Exec Director on the Board of Housing 21. Lara runs the training company Black on Board Ltd and is developing an affordable housing company. She is an alumnus of London School of Economics and Henley Business School.

Sarah is the Head of Best Practice for Crisis, having worked for many years in the homeless sector in delivering advice services, management and development roles. She leads a team who identify, test and promote ways of ending homelessness across GB and who work with Local Authorities to improve and transition their services to end homelessness and not manage it. Sarah has a particular interest in ways of ending women's homelessness, and explored this through a Fellowship with the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust. She became a Trustee in June 2021.

Priya is currently a commercial solicitor. She has always been a keen volunteer for those at a disadvantage but more recently has been involved with organisations helping homeless people. She is also keen to support vulnerable people who suffer from mental health problems via the work she carries out with Mind. She joined the Board of Trustees in 2018.

CEO of Holmewood Family Centre, a charity that supports families and young people. I have experience in leading a charity, fundraising and safeguarding as well as working in a disadvantaged area.



James teaches IT to those who are new to the technological world. He is a member of a local trust fund and takes an active role in political campaigning. He volunteers with several projects helping asylum seekers in Bradford and has extensive knowledge in the functions of charities. James has worked with homeless people in a voluntary capacity over a number of years.
Yvonne's first-hand experience comes from volunteering with Street Pastor locally. Her professional skills have supported Hope Housing.
