Hope Housing is an exciting new project running in Bradford since November 2008. We have partnered with national housing charity Green Pastures (website) to buy houses for homeless people. Support for the tenants will be given by local churches trained up by Hope Housing. Can you donate your old mobile phone? By donating your old phone you can help homeless people to get a home. Having a phone increases peoples chances of getting accommodation as they can be contacted when hostel spaces become available and when landlords have vacancies. Along with that we help coordinate furniture and homewares for the homeless, if you have a van, furniture or cutlery look at our support page and get in touch. We have also set up a project to house people in volunteers' homes around Bradford on a night by night basis. This will provide the much needed emergency accommodation and care, which is lacking in Bradford for people over 26. Check out the Volunteering & Partnering page.
